10/27/2023 0 Comments Loftie alarm clock discount code![]() ![]() We’d recommend running updates in the morning or a while before bed so that you can make the most of your clock as you go to sleep. In our experience, this process can take a few short minutes, or as long as 20 minutes. When new content becomes available, users are prompted to update their clock via email. The company updates the library and says it plans to add more to it over time, too. What’s more, the device features some bedtime stories and meditations. You can use the clock’s sleep timer to fade out these tracks over time, too. The soundtracks range from pink noise to cicadas and serene settings like campfires and the shores of a lake. It can also function as a sound machine with white noise and sound baths so that you can drown out other noise, like barking dogs or car engines that could disrupt your sleep. ![]() The Loftie alarm comes with a number of additional features that make it more worthwhile. Unlike many other smart alarms, the Loftie can be used with or without the app-so if you’re anything like me and tend to follow an unpredictable bedtime schedule, you can set new alarms on the device when you’re curled up in bed without needing your phone in the room. It's just the right number to make the clock functional, while ensuring it's easy to navigate the device and reach the settings you're looking for. Similarly, the clock relies on three buttons. The app is pretty minimalist-it has just a few options of things to do, which include adjusting the brightness and volume, and previewing current alarms or setting new ones. The Loftie’s interface is incredibly easy to use and navigate, whether you’re trying to set something up on the clock itself or in the app. (Admittedly, I’m sure I scoffed when reading it before testing the Loftie.) But after trying the alarm for myself, I can’t help but agree that the alarm tones are shockingly pleasant. Loftie claims its sounds are “professionally crafted non-alarming alarm tones.” Normally I’d roll my eyes at this sort of claim. I, for one, would be happy waking up to either sound. Despite its name, the get-up tone is almost equally as pleasant as the first. ![]() If that doesn’t do the trick, the alarm’s “get-up” tone kicks in nearly 10 minutes later-there's another 10 of these available. When I used it, the alarm woke me with its first tone-soft music that cues you to wake up, aptly called the "wake-up" tone. The clock begins the process of waking you with gentle music and sounds to help you transition from a sleepy state into a wakeful one. Never has something made the experience of being roused from my sleep as pleasant as the Loftie. It will redefine your morning experienceįrom the first morning I woke up to the Loftie alarm, I couldn’t help but think that it defines what waking up should be. The Loftie clock is more than just an alarm-it also has meditations, a nightlight, and more. The company also has a book, titled “ The Mysteries of Sleep.” We haven’t checked out these products, but the alarm is something I won’t shut up about. They’re made to cover up LED lights that could disrupt your sleep (in keeping with Loftie’s general branding). The company also sells “ dark dots,” which are just glorified stickers from what I can tell. The company really brands the clock as something that allows you to leave your phone outside your room-its slogan is “break up with your smartphone alarm.” (Phones are a significant source of blue light, after all, which suppresses melatonin and can make it harder for you to doze off.) I’m happy to report the clock is fully functional as a standalone, and does not necessitate using the app-giving you the option to "breakup" with your phone if you'd like. The device itself has a simple and sleek design with three buttons on top that allow you to control it from your bedroom, if your phone isn’t handy. As such, it can be used in conjunction with the Loftie app. The color only changes the top of the clock, not the whole body. The Loftie clock is its flagship product, and it comes in two color varieties-black and white. The company started with an Indiegogo campaign in 2020 before launching as a full-fledged retailer. Loftie is a newer company that makes clocks designed to allow you to keep your phone outside the bedroom. ![]()
